Welcome to my Web site!

I have been tracing my Family for many years now, and hope these pages reflect this.

As I am Chairperson of my local Family History Group it also contains information about their activities. see Events

I collect information in an eclectic form, and have long ago given up trying to explain my magpie ways.

I hope the information you find within these pages will be of use.

May I point out to you though that in nearly all cases, it is the only information I have.

NEW Coach Trips announced

There are people who say that nobody just passes through Grimsby - You need to have been intending to go there.

We may be at the end of the line for many aspects including the Railway line, But we are rich in resources for Family historians, and it is a common hobby locally which is reflected in the  attendances at our meetings.

You will be made welcome at all our meetings, and we will endeavour to help you in any way we can to achieve your Goals. What we do not offer is a Family History research service, that you have to do yourself, but it is so much more FUN finding out  these things for yourself.

Problems with page please report to

North East Lincolnshire Library services takes Family Historians very seriously (we are possibly their best customers) and are always willing to help.

Ask for the Reference Library

bulletGrimsby Central Library

Grimsby library has a copy of the 1901 census on film, which is free to use and reasonable to make copies from, cheaper than anywhere else in Lincolnshire I would think ???

They also have copies of the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 for this part of the County

NEWS  Ancestry has come to the Central library - Access is free - but the usual fees apply for use of the computer
